🥔🥓 Green Bean, Potato & Bacon Bake
A hearty, comforting casserole with tender potatoes, crisp bacon, and flavorful green beans baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Perfect as a side dish or even a main meal.

🛒 Ingredients

3 cups green beans (fresh or frozen)

3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced

6 slices bacon, chopped
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup heavy cream or milk
-
2 tbsp butter
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp paprika (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease a baking dish with butter.
2️⃣ Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.

Remove bacon and place on paper towels.

Leave a little bacon fat in the pan for flavor.
3️⃣ Sauté Onion & Garlic

In the same skillet, sauté onion for about 3 minutes.

Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
4️⃣ Prepare the Vegetables

Boil diced potatoes for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender (not fully cooked).

Drain well.
5️⃣ Assemble the Bake
In the baking dish combine:

green beans
-
cooked bacon
-
onion & garlic mixture
Pour heavy cream over the mixture.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika on top.
6️⃣ Bake

Bake 35–40 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.

Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
