Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for a little heat)
Instructions:
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the chicken:
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
Drizzle the chicken thighs with olive oil, and rub it in to coat the skin evenly.
In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using).
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken thighs, rubbing it in gently for an even coat.
Cook the chicken:
Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down, in a single layer.
Avoid overcrowding to allow proper air circulation.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes.
After 10-12 minutes, flip the chicken thighs so the skin side is up.
Cook for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy.
Rest and serve:
Let the chicken thighs rest for a few minutes after cooking.
This will help retain the juices.
Serve with your favorite side dishes, like a fresh salad, roasted veggies, or mashed cauliflower.
This crispy chicken has a beautifully golden-brown skin and tender, juicy meat on the inside.
The best part? It’s all made in the air fryer, making it a healthier alternative to frying while still being incredibly tasty!
