🌊 Mediterranean Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped small

  • 1 cup crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt (optional, for tang)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for spice)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella (or a mix of mozzarella + feta for a Mediterranean twist)

For the Bread Bombs:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough OR pizza dough (8–10 pieces)

  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Filling:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, dill, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir in the shredded cheese until everything is well combined. Set aside.

2. Assemble the Bread Bombs:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Take biscuit/pizza dough pieces and flatten them slightly into small circles.

  3. Place 1–2 tbsp of the crab-shrimp filling in the center of each.

  4. Fold and pinch the dough tightly to seal, shaping into smooth balls.

3. Garlic Butter Coating:

  1. Mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, oregano, and basil together.

  2. Brush each dough ball generously with the garlic butter mixture.

  3. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

4. Bake:

  1. Arrange the balls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  2. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

5. Serve:

  • Brush with extra garlic butter (optional).

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with a side of marinara or garlic aioli for dipping.


💡 Tips & Variations:

  • Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives for an extra Mediterranean punch.

  • Use feta instead of mozzarella for stronger flavor.

  • Can also be made in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden.
