🫒 Grilled Salmon with Creamy Honey Mustard Sauce (Mediterranean Style)

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 150–180 g each)

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • Zest & juice of ½ lemon

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Creamy Honey Mustard Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1½ tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh dill or parsley, chopped

  • Lemon wedges


Instructions

  1. Marinate salmon: Pat salmon dry. Mix olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub over salmon and rest 10–15 minutes.

  2. Make sauce: Whisk Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth. Chill until ready.

  3. Preheat grill: Medium-high heat. Lightly oil grates.

  4. Grill salmon: Cook salmon skin-side down 4–5 minutes, flip carefully, and cook another 2–3 minutes until just flaky.

  5. Serve: Drizzle or dollop honey mustard sauce over salmon. Garnish with herbs and lemon.

  • Serve with a Mediterranean cucumber-tomato salad

  • Great for weeknight dinners or special occasions

Variations

  • Oven-baked: Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 12–15 minutes

  • Dairy-free sauce: Use tahini + lemon + honey

  • Extra zing: Add grated garlic or capers to sauce
