🍯 Banana Vanilla Yogurt Custard Cups (Mediterranean Style)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)

  • 3 tbsp honey (or date syrup)

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (balances sweetness)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • ½ cup milk (or almond milk)

  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

  • Pinch of sea salt


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Blend bananas
    Mash or blend bananas until smooth.

  2. Make custard base
    In a saucepan, whisk milk and cornstarch until smooth.
    Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and glossy (3–4 minutes).

  3. Combine
    Remove from heat. Stir in banana puree, honey, vanilla, lemon juice, and salt.

  4. Cool slightly
    Let mixture cool 5 minutes, then fold in Greek yogurt gently until creamy.

  5. Add chocolate
    Stir in dark chocolate chips.

  6. Serve & chill
    Pour into glass cups. Chill 1–2 hours until set.
