Air fryer pineapple is a delicious and simple treat! It caramelizes the natural sugars in the fruit, creating a sweet, juicy, and slightly crispy snack. Here’s how you can make it:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe pineapple (peeled, cored, and cut into rings or chunks)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar (optional for extra sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, but adds great flavor)
  • A pinch of salt (optional, to balance sweetness)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pineapple:

  • Peel the pineapple and remove the core. You can slice it into rings, chunks, or wedges, depending on your preference.
  • If you’re using rings, ensure they’re of similar thickness for even cooking.

2. Season the Pineapple:

  • In a bowl, toss the pineapple slices or chunks with honey (or brown sugar), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. The honey or sugar will help caramelize the fruit in the air fryer, and the cinnamon adds a warm, aromatic flavor.

3. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.

4. Cook the Pineapple:

  • Arrange the pineapple pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure there’s some space between the pieces for air to circulate and cook them evenly.
  • Air fry the pineapple for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even browning. You may need to adjust the cooking time depending on how thick your pineapple slices are and how caramelized you like them.

5. Serve:

  • Once the pineapple is golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges, remove it from the air fryer.
  • You can serve it as is, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of extra honey, or even some fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist.

Tips:

  • If you like a little extra flavor, you can sprinkle the pineapple with a tiny bit of chili powder or cayenne pepper before cooking to give it a sweet and spicy kick.
  • If you’re serving this as a dessert, a sprinkle of shredded coconut on top after air frying can also be a nice touch!
