This can be served as a warm dessert, breakfast bowl, or healthy snack.
⭐ Ingredients (2 servings)
Base

2 medium apples, peeled and chopped

1 tbsp olive oil or 1 tsp butter

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional — adjust to taste)

⅓ cup water or milk (regular or almond)
-
½ tsp cinnamon
-
½ tsp vanilla
-
Pinch of salt
Mediterranean-style toppings (optional)

Crushed walnuts or pistachios
-
Greek yogurt
-
Pomegranate seeds
-
A drizzle of olive oil or honey

Dates or raisins chopped
🍽️ Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the apples

Heat olive oil/butter in a pan.

Add chopped apples + cinnamon + pinch of salt.

Cook on medium heat for 3–4 minutes, until softened.
2️⃣ Add cocoa mixture
In a small bowl mix:

Cocoa powder
-
Water/milk
-
Honey (or leave out for sugar-free)

Vanilla
Stir until smooth.
Pour this over the apples.
3️⃣ Simmer
Cook everything together for 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until:

The apples soften

The sauce thickens into a chocolatey glaze

Serve warm in a bowl and top with:
