Crispy Breaded Mushrooms

🧾 Ingredients

  • 250–300 g fresh mushrooms (button or cremini), sliced or whole
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but delicious)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

🥣 Instructions

  1. Prep mushrooms
Clean and pat dry. If large, slice them; small ones can stay whole.
  2. Set up coating station
    • Bowl 1: flour + salt & pepper
    • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
    • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + Parmesan + garlic powder + paprika
  3. Coat mushrooms
    Dip each mushroom in:
    • Flour → Egg → Breadcrumb mixture
Press gently so coating sticks well.
  4. Fry
    • Heat oil to ~175°C (350°F)
    • Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown
    • Remove and drain on paper towels

🥄 Quick Garlic Dip (like in the picture)

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives
  • Salt & pepper

Mix everything together and chill for 10–15 minutes.

🔥 Tips

  • For extra crispiness, double-dip (egg + breadcrumbs twice)
  • You can bake at 200°C (400°F) for ~20 minutes or air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 10–12 minutes
  • Serve immediately while hot and crunchy!
