🧾 Ingredients
- 250–300 g fresh mushrooms (button or cremini), sliced or whole
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but delicious)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
🥣 Instructions
- Prep mushrooms
Clean and pat dry. If large, slice them; small ones can stay whole.
- Set up coating station
- Bowl 1: flour + salt & pepper
- Bowl 2: beaten eggs
- Bowl 3: breadcrumbs + Parmesan + garlic powder + paprika
- Coat mushrooms
Dip each mushroom in:
- Flour → Egg → Breadcrumb mixture
Press gently so coating sticks well.
- Fry
- Heat oil to ~175°C (350°F)
- Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown
- Remove and drain on paper towels
🥄 Quick Garlic Dip (like in the picture)
Ingredients:
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or chives
- Salt & pepper
Mix everything together and chill for 10–15 minutes.
🔥 Tips
- For extra crispiness, double-dip (egg + breadcrumbs twice)
- You can bake at 200°C (400°F) for ~20 minutes or air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 10–12 minutes
- Serve immediately while hot and crunchy!
