Crispy cheesy hash browns sandwich delicious

Ingredients:

For the Hash Browns:

3 cups frozen shredded hash browns (thawed)

1/2 cup shredded cheddar  cheese

1/4 cup grated  Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Filling:

4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)

1 large egg (fried or scrambled, optional)

1 tbsp butter or mayo (for spreading)

Instructions:

Prepare the Hash Browns:

Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Flatten each portion into round or rectangular patties about 1/2 inch thick.

Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray with a little cooking spray for extra crispiness. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Sandwich:

Layer Ingredients: Once the hash brown patties are crispy, place a slice of cheese on two of them. Add bacon, ham, or an egg if desired.

Top and Melt: Top with the other hash brown patties to form a sandwich. Optionally, spread butter or mayo on the top for extra flavor.

Air Fry Again: Place the assembled sandwiches back in the air fryer at 375°F for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese and heat the fillings.

Serve:

Remove from the air fryer, let cool slightly, and enjoy your crispy, cheesy hash browns sandwich!
