🛒 Ingredients

Chicken

  • 450 g (1 lb) chicken breast, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp oregano

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Pasta

  • 350 g (12 oz) linguine

  • Salted water, for boiling

Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup light cream or half-and-half

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Finish

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or basil, chopped

  • Lemon zest (optional, Mediterranean touch)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil linguine in salted water until al dente.

  2. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken

  1. Season chicken with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

  4. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Butter Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Stir in chicken broth and cream; simmer 2–3 minutes.

  4. Add Parmesan and cheddar, stirring until smooth.

  5. Season with pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

4️⃣ Combine

  1. Add linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat.

  2. Slice chicken and return to the skillet.

  3. Add pasta water as needed for silkiness.

  4. Finish with herbs and lemon zest.
