🌿 Mediterranean Ginger Water 

A light, citrusy, anti-inflammatory drink inspired by Mediterranean wellness traditions.

Ingredients (1.5 liters / 6 cups)

  • Fresh ginger root – 2 tbsp grated or 10–12 thin slices

  • Water – 1.5 liters

  • Fresh lemon – 1 medium, sliced or juiced

  • Honey – 1–2 tsp (optional, adjust to taste)

  • Mint leaves – a small handful (optional but very Mediterranean)

  • Pinch of turmeric (optional for extra anti-inflammatory effect)


🥣 Instructions

1. Prepare the ginger

  • Wash and peel the ginger.

  • Slice thinly or grate for stronger flavor.

2. Boil

  • Bring the water to a gentle boil.

  • Add ginger.

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes.

3. Add Mediterranean flavors

Turn off the heat and add:

  • Lemon slices or lemon juice

  • Mint leaves (optional)

  • A pinch of turmeric (optional)

Let it steep 10 minutes.

4. Strain & sweeten

  • Strain out the ginger and lemon slices.

  • Add honey once it’s warm (not boiling).


🍋 How to Drink It

  • Drink 1 glass in the morning on an empty stomach.

  • Drink 1–2 more glasses throughout the day.

  • Serve warm or chilled.
