🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 (14–15 oz) cans salmon, drained and flaked (bones/skin removed if desired)

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed tortilla chips for extra flavor)

  • ¼ cup red onion, finely diced

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 small jalapeño, finely minced (optional for heat)

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Juice of ½ lime

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)


🥣 Optional Add-Ins

  • 2 tbsp corn kernels

  • 2 tbsp black beans (well-drained)

  • ¼ cup shredded pepper jack cheese


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Mix

In a large bowl, combine salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, spices, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Mix until just combined.

2️⃣ Form Patties

Divide mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties about ½–¾ inch thick.

3️⃣ Cook

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.

4️⃣ Rest & Serve

Let rest 2–3 minutes before serving.


🥑 Creamy Lime Sauce (Optional but Recommended)

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

  • Juice of ½ lime

  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro

  • Pinch salt

  • Optional: dash of hot sauce

Mix and drizzle over patties.
