Mediterranean Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef 

Light, fresh, herby, and perfect for lunch or dinner.


🥙 Ingredients (4–5 wraps)

For the Ground Beef Filling

  • Ground beef – 400–500 g

  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp

  • Onion – 1 small, finely chopped

  • Garlic – 3 cloves, minced

  • Tomato – 1 medium, finely diced (or ½ cup canned crushed tomatoes)

  • Paprika – 1 tsp

  • Cumin – 1 tsp

  • Oregano – 1 tsp

  • Black pepper – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Chili flakes – optional

  • Fresh parsley – 2 tbsp chopped

For the Mediterranean Salad Filling

  • Lettuce – shredded (1–2 cups)

  • Cucumber – 1 small, diced

  • Cherry tomatoes – 1 cup, halved

  • Red onion – a few thin slices

  • Olives – 2–3 tbsp sliced (optional)

  • Fresh mint or parsley – chopped


Creamy Mediterranean Sauce (Yogurt-Tahini)

  • Greek yogurt – ½ cup

  • Tahini – 1 tbsp (optional but delicious)

  • Lemon juice – 1–2 tbsp

  • Garlic – 1 small clove, grated

  • Olive oil – 1 tsp

  • Salt & pepper – to taste

OR replace with hummus or tzatziki.


Other

  • Tortilla wraps – 4–5 (whole-wheat or regular)

  • Feta cheese – ¼ cup crumbled (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the Ground Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.

  2. Add onions and sauté until soft.

  3. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  5. Add paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.

  6. Add diced tomato and cook until moisture reduces (3–4 minutes).

  7. Stir in fresh parsley.

  8. Remove from heat.


2. Prepare the Mediterranean Sauce

Whisk together yogurt, tahini, lemon, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.


3. Assemble the Wrap

  1. Warm the tortillas slightly.

  2. Spread yogurt-tahini sauce or hummus.

  3. Add the beef filling.

  4. Add the fresh salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives).

  5. Sprinkle with feta (optional).

  6. Roll tightly into a wrap.


4. Optional: Grill the Wrap

Place the wrap on a dry pan for 1–2 minutes on each side for a crispy Mediterranean-style finish.
