π Mediterranean Baked Pears with Honey, Fresh Berries, Walnuts & Feta Crumble

β Ingredients
Pears

2 large ripe but firm pears (Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
-
2β3 tbsp honey or pure maple syrup
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
Β½ tsp cinnamon
-
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
-
Squeeze of lemon juice over pears to prevent browning
Toppings
-
Β½ cup fresh mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
-
ΒΌ cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
-
ΒΌ cup feta cheese OR goat cheese (crumbled)
-
1β2 tbsp honey for drizzling
-
Fresh mint for garnish
π³ Instructions
1. Prepare the Pears

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out the center with a spoon.

Place them cut-side up in a small baking dish.
2. Flavor the Pears
Brush or drizzle pears with:

olive oil or melted butter
-
honey
-
vanilla
-
cinnamon
-
nutmeg (optional)
Add 2β3 tablespoons of water or orange juice to the bottom of the baking dish so the pears stay moist.
3. Bake
Bake for 25β30 minutes, until the pears are soft and lightly caramelized.
(If using very ripe pears, check earlier.)
4. Add Mediterranean Toppings
Remove from oven and top each pear with:

fresh berries

walnuts
-
feta or goat cheese crumble
Return to oven for 2β3 minutes just to warm the toppings slightly (optional).
5. Serve
Drizzle with a final touch of honey and garnish with fresh mint.
Serve warm β incredible with:
