Cottage Cheese Garlic Bites – Crispy, Savory & High-Protein

🧄 2-Ingredient Cottage Cheese Garlic Bites – Crispy, Savory & High-Protein

🌿 Description

These ultra-simple cottage cheese garlic bites are crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside, and packed with protein. With just two main ingredients, they’re perfect for low-carb snacking, meal prep, or adding to soups and salads for extra protein.

They taste like a cross between cheesy bread bites and savory mini muffins — but lighter and healthier.

🛒 Ingredients (Makes about 12–15 bites)

  • 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese (drained if very watery)

  • 1 cup self-rising flour

🧄 Optional (but highly recommended for flavor):

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Pinch salt

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (for crispier tops)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

If your cottage cheese is very wet, lightly strain it using a sieve or paper towel.

2️⃣ Mix

In a bowl, combine cottage cheese and self-rising flour.
Stir until a soft dough forms.
(If sticky, lightly flour your hands.)

Add garlic powder or herbs if using.

3️⃣ Shape

Roll into small bite-sized balls.
Place on prepared tray and slightly flatten the tops.

Optional: Sprinkle Parmesan on top for extra crispiness.

4️⃣ Bake

Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
For extra crispiness, broil 2–3 minutes at the end.

Cool slightly before serving.
