🛒 Ingredients
1½ lb (700 g) ground beef or ground lamb
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups green cabbage, chopped
1 zucchini, diced
2 celery stalks, sliced
1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes (or fresh, chopped – optional for strict keto)
4 cups beef broth (low-sodium)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1 bay leaf
Optional: fresh parsley or dill for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions (Crockpot Method)
Brown the meat
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add ground meat and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.Build flavor
Add onion and garlic to the meat. Cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.Load the crockpot
Transfer meat mixture to the crockpot.
Add cabbage, zucchini, celery, tomatoes, broth, spices, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.Slow cook
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
Until cabbage is tender and flavors are rich.
Finish & serve
Remove bay leaf. Adjust seasoning.
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
