🐟🦐 Creamy Mediterranean Fish & Shrimp Skillet
📝 Ingredients
Seafood

1 lb white fish fillets (cod, halibut, haddock, or seabass), cut into chunks

½ lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

Salt & pepper, to season

1–2 tbsp olive oil
Creamy Mediterranean Sauce

2 tbsp butter
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 small shallot or ½ onion, finely chopped
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
Mediterranean lighter option: use ½ cream + ½ Greek yogurt
-

½ cup fish broth or chicken broth
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp lemon zest
-
1–2 tsp Dijon mustard
-
½ tsp paprika
-
½ tsp turmeric (adds color & Mediterranean warmth)

Fresh dill or parsley, chopped
-
Salt & pepper to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Sear the Seafood

Pat fish and shrimp dry. Season with salt & pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add fish pieces and sear 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.

Remove fish gently (it will finish cooking later).

Add shrimp to the same pan, cook 1–2 minutes, then remove.
2. Make the Creamy Mediterranean Sauce

Lower heat to medium. Add butter.

Sauté garlic and shallot 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in broth, scraping the browned bits.

Add cream, lemon juice, zest, Dijon, paprika, turmeric.

Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thick.

Stir in fresh herbs.
3. Combine & Finish

Gently place the fish and shrimp back into the pan.

Spoon sauce over the top.

Simmer 4–5 minutes on low until everything is cooked and flavors blend.
