🧀🌿 Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Pull-Apart Sourdough Bread

Mediterranean-inspired, gooey, herby, and perfect for sharing

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 round sourdough bread loaf

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained & chopped

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil or melted butter

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp dried basil

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped

  • Extra Parmesan


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare

    • Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.

    • Place sourdough loaf on a large sheet of foil.

    • Using a sharp knife, cut the loaf in a criss-cross pattern (do not cut all the way through).

  2. Make the Filling

    • In a bowl, mix mozzarella, cream cheese, artichokes, spinach, Parmesan, garlic, olive oil (or butter), oregano, basil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  3. Stuff the Bread

    • Gently pull apart the bread cuts and stuff the cheese mixture deep into every crevice.

  4. Bake

    • Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 20 minutes.

    • Uncover and bake another 5–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly with lightly crisp edges.

  5. Finish & Serve

    • Garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan.

    • Serve warm—perfect for pulling apart!
