🦀 Crab Rangoon (Cream Cheese Wontons)

📝 Ingredients (Makes 20–24 wontons)
Filling
225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation), finely chopped
2 tbsp Greek yogurt (optional for extra creaminess)
1 garlic clove, minced
1–2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp lemon zest
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Wrappers
20–24 square wonton wrappers
For Frying
Neutral oil (vegetable, canola, sunflower)
Mediterranean Dipping Sauce
3 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili flakes
Pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix together:
Cream cheese
Crab meat
Greek yogurt
Garlic
Green onions
Lemon juice + zest
Oregano
Paprika
Salt + pepper
Mix until smooth and well combined.
2. Fill the Wontons
Lay a wonton wrapper on a flat surface.
Add 1 teaspoon of filling to the center.
Moisten edges with water.
Fold into a triangle or gather all 4 corners into a pouch shape.
Press firmly to seal.
3. Fry
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry wontons in small batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Air Fryer option:
Spray with oil
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 6–7 minutes, flipping halfway.
4. Make the Mediterranean Dip
Whisk together:
Greek yogurt
Honey
Lemon juice
Garlic powder
Chili flakes
Salt
Creamy, tangy, slightly sweet — perfect for the crispy wontons.
5. Serve
Serve the crispy Crab Rangoons warm with the Mediterranean dipping sauce.
