GARLIC AND BUTTER FLATBREAD

🫓 Mediterranean Garlic & Butter Flatbread

🧺 Ingredients

Flatbread Dough

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast

  • ¾ cup warm water

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

  • Pinch of salt


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.

  2. Add warm water and olive oil.

  3. Mix and knead for 5–7 minutes until soft and smooth.

  4. Cover and let rest 45–60 minutes, until doubled.


2️⃣ Shape & Cook

  1. Divide dough into 6 equal balls.

  2. Roll each into a thin round.

  3. Heat a dry skillet over medium heat.

  4. Cook each flatbread 1–2 minutes per side until puffed and golden.


3️⃣ Garlic Butter Finish

  1. Mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, parsley, oregano, and salt.

  2. Brush generously over hot flatbreads.


🌿 Mediterranean Variations

  • Add grated Parmesan or crumbled feta

  • Sprinkle za’atar or chili flakes

  • Finish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil


🫒 Serving Ideas

  • With hummus, baba ghanoush, or tzatziki

  • As a wrap for grilled chicken or veggies

  • Alongside soups and salads
