Greek Halloumi Mezze Platter with Honey Drizzle

🥗 Ingredients
For the Halloumi
1–2 blocks halloumi cheese, sliced into ½-inch pieces
1–2 tbsp olive oil
1–2 tbsp honey (for drizzling)
½ tsp dried oregano
Fresh Mezze Items
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 large cucumber, sliced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1–2 avocados, sliced (optional)
Kalamata olives
1–2 roasted red peppers (jarred or homemade)
Fresh mint or parsley
Dips
Hummus
Tzatziki
Baba ganoush (optional)
To Serve
Warm pita bread or pita chips
Lemon wedges
Extra virgin olive oil
Crushed walnuts or pistachios (optional topping)
👩🍳 Directions
1. Prepare the Halloumi
Pat halloumi slices dry with a towel.
Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat.
Fry halloumi slices 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with honey.
Sprinkle lightly with oregano.
2. Set Up the Mezze Platter
Arrange everything beautifully on a large serving board or platter:
Place dips in small bowls.
Add cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives, roasted peppers, and avocado.
Add the warm honey-drizzled halloumi slices on one side.
Garnish with fresh herbs.
3. Serve
Drizzle the whole platter with a touch of olive oil.
Add a squeeze of lemon.
Sprinkle nuts over the honey halloumi (optional but amazing!).
Serve immediately with warm pita.
✨ Tips
Add grapes or figs for sweetness.
Swap halloumi with grilled feta slices if desired.
For spice lovers: drizzle chili oil over the halloumi.
