🐟 Mediterranean Baked Fish – Fresh, Healthy & Flavorful

This classic Mediterranean baked fish is light, aromatic, and packed with heart-healthy ingredients like olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs. Perfect for a quick dinner or elegant lunch.


🫒 Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (cod, haddock, sea bass, snapper, or tilapia)

  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 lemon (zest + juice)

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Vegetables (optional but recommended):

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup Kalamata olives, pitted

  • 1 small zucchini, sliced

For garnish:

  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped

  • Lemon slices


🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat to 190°C / 375°F. Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.

  2. Prepare the Fish
    Pat fish dry and arrange in the baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and thyme.

  3. Add Mediterranean Flavors
    Drizzle olive oil over the fish. Add garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice evenly.

  4. Add Vegetables
    Scatter tomatoes, onion, olives, and zucchini around and over the fish.

  5. Bake
    Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    Remove foil and bake another 5–8 minutes, until fish flakes easily.

  6. Finish & Serve
    Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices. Serve warm.
