Mediterranean Baked Pears with Honey, Fresh Berries, Walnuts & Feta Crumble
Ingredients (Serves 4)
Baked Pears

4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil or melted butter

2–3 tbsp honey
-
Zest of ½ orange or lemon
-
½ tsp ground cinnamon
-
¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
Crumble Topping
-
½ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
-
⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
-
2 tbsp rolled oats (optional, for texture)
Fresh Topping
-
1 cup fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
-
Extra honey, for drizzling
Optional Finish
-
Fresh thyme or mint leaves
Instructions

Preheat Oven
Preheat to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease a baking dish. -
Prepare the Pears
Arrange pear halves cut-side up in the dish.
Brush with olive oil or butter.
Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with citrus zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. -
Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes, until pears are tender and caramelized. -
Make the Crumble
While pears bake, mix walnuts, feta, and oats in a small bowl. -
Assemble
Remove pears from oven.
Spoon walnut–feta crumble into the pear centers. -
Finish & Serve
Top with fresh berries.
Drizzle with additional honey and garnish with thyme or mint.
