Ingredients
- 12 oz (340g) ribeye steak (or New York strip)
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp butter (optional)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Bacon
- Place bacon strips in a cold skillet.
- Cook over medium heat until crispy, about 8–10 minutes.
- Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
- Cook the Steak
- Season steak generously with salt.
- Increase heat to medium-high.
- Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your preferred doneness.
- Remove from pan and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Fry the Eggs
- Reduce heat to medium.
- Add butter if desired.
- Crack eggs into the skillet and cook until whites are set and yolks remain runny, about 2–3 minutes.
- Serve
- Slice the steak and plate with the bacon and eggs.
- Sprinkle with additional salt if desired.
