🧺 Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks (full-fat)

  • ½ cup almond flour

  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan or Pecorino Romano

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Egg Wash

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

For Cooking

  • Olive oil spray or

  • Extra-virgin olive oil (for shallow pan-frying)

Optional Mediterranean Dip

  • Warm marinara (no sugar added)

  • Garlic yogurt sauce or tzatziki


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Cheese

  • Cut mozzarella sticks in half if desired.

  • Freeze cheese sticks for 30 minutes (important for melting control).


2️⃣ Make the Coating

  • In a bowl, mix almond flour, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.


3️⃣ Bread the Sticks

  • Dip frozen cheese sticks into egg wash.

  • Roll in almond flour mixture, pressing gently.

  • For extra crunch, repeat egg wash + coating once more.

  • Return coated sticks to freezer for 10 minutes.


4️⃣ Cook

Oven Method (Best for Ease)

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Place sticks on parchment-lined tray.

  • Spray lightly with olive oil.

  • Bake 8–10 minutes, until golden.

Air Fryer Method

  • Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 6–7 minutes, shaking once.

Pan Method

  • Shallow fry in olive oil over medium heat until golden on all sides.
